Healthcare Compliance

The pharmaceutical and medical devices industry is one of the most highly regulated industries in the world.

This level of regulation combined with Allergan Aesthetics’s vision to improve the lives of patients means that we have an obligation to conduct our business to the highest ethical and legal standards. We are committed to promotional practices that are ethical, responsible, accurate and patient-centred and to complying fully with all legislation relating to the elimination of bribery and corruption.

Allergan Aesthetics is committed to the concept of compliance in all our activities. The phrase “There is no right way to do a wrong thing” is the mantra of our business decision making. We are driven and competitive but we will achieve results in a compliant and ethical manner.

In order to maintain our culture of compliance and integrity, we have a compliance programme integrated into the global business consisting of internal policies and procedures, training for all employees and third parties with whom we work alongside and mechanisms for individuals to raise issues and concerns that they may encounter during the course of their working day without fear of retaliation.

Allergan Aesthetics’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics

Our compliance programme is built around the Allergan Aesthetics Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, which is a global standard applied to all of our business activities. It requires Allergan Aesthetics employees to comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and internal policies and to conduct all business activities in an ethical manner. The code sets out the standards that must be upheld by Allergan Aesthetics employees.

The EAME Compliance Programme

To further embed the principles of the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, Allergan Aesthetics has dedicated Compliance & Ethics personnel in key regions of the business. These individuals oversee the compliance programme, providing training to employees and developing appropriate internal controls. We also have both national and regional compliance committees who ensure Allergan Aesthetics has appropriate compliance governance and is able to respond quickly to changes in compliance expectations.
